Cognitive and Sensory Triggers and the Mapping of the Inner Spaces of the Mind was my final project from my first year of BA Design at Goldsmiths University. I wanted to explore the relationship Design and Science could have, and how they could interact.
While I had no background knowledge in cognitive sciences, I did have an interest in the power of the minds and that associated with the levels of consciousness. This was enough to begin researching into the specific theories and experiments which could link with my exploration of the human mind.
While there wasn’t an immediate theoretical base to my project identity, I later found that the confluence of design and science, and the theories of which I had explored have the potential to be a stepping stone into a much bigger and complex set of questions.
